UN digital tech agency launches initiative to improve trust in AI agents

The International Telecommunication Union (UN digital technology agency) launched a focus group at its AI for Good Global Summit to develop international frameworks that ensure autonomous AI agents remain identifiable, trustworthy and subject to meaningful human control. The initiative aims to address accountability and safety risks when AI agents operate in sensitive sectors such as financial transactions and critical infrastructure.
